(13) Today I ran a half marathon with my sister and her best friend

(12) This was my fifth half marathon and my sister’s first half marathon

(11) Per usual, my legs and my feet completely ache, so exhausting

(10) We are horizontal, and every time we move, we groan

(9) Leading up to today, we texted about our training

(8) “Ran 4 miles today…ran 8 miles today!”

(7) We have bonded over our shared pain

(6) I am used to the pangs

(5) That come with this process

(4) But she is not

(3) Yet she finished

(2) Ever determined

(1) Accomplished
